Olé!

Tonight, I made Mexican Lasagna for dinner. I got the recipe from Rachael Ray. I don't really like Rachael Ray- too hyper for me. However, it was delicious and I plan on making it again soon! It called for ground chicken, which I have never used before. But I enjoyed it a lot! Cameron and Marci gave the seal of approval, which means it's legit.

This is what it was supposed to look like:
This is what it actually ended up looking like:

And while I'm on the subject of Rachael Ray... can someone please explain the concept of a trash bowl for me? Yes, I understand that it is handy. In fact, in the spirit of Rachael Ray (I was using her recipe, after all) I used a bowl to put my trash in. But I did not PURCHASE the bowl. I think it is incredibly silly to spend $19.95 plus on THIS:An ugly bowl. An ugly GARBAGE bowl.
But I digress.

Just in case anyone is at the least bit interested, here is the recipe:

Also, I added some cilantro to it as well. It was delicious!

I'm Baaaaaaack!

Guess who's back in the blogging world again? Feel free to stalk me via blog, but please leave comments; otherwise, I will have no motivation to write about my life. Which would mean that you could stalk me no more. And I'm simply too interesting of a person for that to happen. (Just kidding.) :)

Here are some exciting facts about yours truly.
ONE. I love my friends so very very much.
I don't know what I would do without them. But more about them later.

TWO: Birthdays are a big deal.I love birthdays. Other people's or my own, I don't care. Because for one day out of the year, it's all about you. And that's a pretty wowsome.
Last year, we threw Marci a surprise rave birthday party. In our living room. Complete with blacklights. AND a lifesize cutout of Edward Cullen.
My birthday is October 17th, if anyone was wondering...

THREE. Cooking and baking
make me happy.
There have been many an exciting baking adventure in the past year. Penguin cupcakes. Fondant Paisley cake. Ipod cake, complete with ipod INSIDE the cake. But more about in that in a later blog.

FOUR. I am one of those odd college students who talk to my mom everyday.
I love my mom. I miss her. Probably because we're practically the same person. Plus, she's my shopping buddy!

FIVE. I have the best roommates in the world.
One of them is my brother. And the other is my best friend. How lucky am I? Cameron is my baby brother. He's basically my twin, but he's actually younger than me. And much taller. Marci is a complete loon. But she's amazing, and I love her.

SIX. I love Disney World.
It makes me feel like a kid. And it also has fun rides.
Except I don't like Prince Charming.

Well I guess that pretty much sums me up for an introduction. Plus I need to do homework. Ah, the life of a college student.
